Women Dress


♣  Hazrath Aisha (RadhiAllahu Anha) used to say:

When (the Verse): They should draw their veils over their necks and bosoms, was revealed, (the ladies) cut their waist sheets at the edges and covered their faces with the cut pieces.


Narrated by Safiya bint Shaiba (RadhiAllahu Anha)

Sahih Bukhari Book 60, Hadith 282 ​​


♣  Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said,

Women who are naked even though they are wearing clothes, go astray and make others go astray, and they will not enter the Garden and they will not find its scent, and its scent is experienced from as far as the distance travelled in five hundred years.


Muwatta Book 48 , Hadith 7



♣  An Ansari girl was married and she became sick and all her hair fell out intending to provide her with false hair. They asked the Holy Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) who said, "Allah has cursed the lady who artificially lengthens (her or someone else's) hair and also the one who gets her hair lengthened."

♣  Safiyyah daughter of Shaybah said, that Aisha (RadhiAllahu Anha) mentioned the women of Ansar, praised them and said good words about them. She then said: When Surat an- Nur came down, they took the curtains, tore them and made head covers (veils) of them.

♣  Holy Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) cursed women who practice tattooing and the women who have themselves tattooed and the women who remove hair from their eye lashes to look beautiful, the women who alter Allah’s creation.

♣  Allah’s Messenger (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) cursed men who try to resemble women and women who try to resemble men.

♣  Holy Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) said

There shall be, in the latter part of my nation, women who are dressed but (in fact) naked, on their heads are humps like those of Bukht (one kind of camels), curse them for they are surely cursed.

♣  Asma (Radiyallahu Anha) the daughter of Abu Bakr (Radiyallahu Anhu) came to the Messenger of Allah while wearing thin clothing. He approached her and said: 'O Asma’! When a girl reaches the menstrual age, it is not proper that anything should remain exposed except this and this. He pointed to the face and hands.”

♣  The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) intended women who put on light clothes that shows off and shapes the body descriptions. In reality they are naked although they have clothes on them!

Imam Tabarani narrated in "Al-Mu'jam As-Sagheer" P. 232



♣  Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas its odour would be smelt from such and such distance.
