English - Al Hadith - Hasan, Hussain RadhiAllahu Anhum

Sayyiduna Hasan & Sayyiduna Hussain (RadhiAllahu Anhum)


♣ Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam held the hands of Hasan and Husayn and said, ‘He who loves me, loves these two, their father and their mother will be with me at my place on the Day of Resurrection.

♣ Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam said:

​“Hasan and Husayn are the chief of the youth of paradise.”

♣ I went to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam one night in connection with a need. The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam came out wrapped in something. I do not know what it was. When I had finished what I had to, I asked, ‘What is this you are wrapped into?” He uncovered it and they were Hasan and Husayn RadhiAllahu Anhum on his back. He said, “They are my children-children of my daughter. 0 Allah, I love them, so do love them, and love whoso loves them,”​

♣ ​A man of Iraq asked Ibn Umar about blood of a mosquito that stains a garment. Ibn Umar RadhiAllahu Anhu said, “Look at him. He asks about blood of a mosquito while they have killed the son of Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam had heard Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam say. Surely, Hasan and Husayn are my two flowers in this world.”

♣ ​​​Salmaa reported that she went to Umm Salamah RadhiAllahu Anha and found her weeping. She asked her what made her weep. She said, “I saw Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam in my dream. There was dust on his head and beard. I asked him, ‘What is wrong with you, 0 Messenger of Allah?’ He said, ‘I have just witnessed Husayn’s murder.”

♣ Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam was asked, ‘Which one of the people of your house is dearest to you?” He said, “Hasan and Husayn.” He would say to Sayyidah Fatimah RadhiAllahu Anha, “Call for me my two sons.’ Then, he would sniff them and hug them.

♣ Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam was delivering a sermon to them when Hasan and Husayn came stumbling (towards him). They were wearing shirts of red colour. So, Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam got down from the pulpit carried them (in his arms) and made them sit in front of him. Then he said, “Allah has spoken the truth:

Your riches and your children are only a trial. (64: 15)

I saw these two children stumbling as they walked and could not be patient till I interrupted my sermon and carried them (here).”

​♣ Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam said:

​“Husayn is of me and l am his. Allah loves those who love Husayn. Husayn is a grandson among grandsons.”

​​♣ No one of the men resembled Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam more than Hasan ibn Ali RadhiAllahu Anhu

♣ ​​I was with Ibn Ziyad when the head of Husayn was brought to him. He tapped his nose with his wand, saying, “I have not seen such beauty. Then why mention him.” I said, “Indeed, he resembles Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam most closely.”

​​​​♣ Hasan RadhiAllahu Anhu most resembled Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam from the chest to the head while Husayn most resembled him from chest down.​

♣ Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam observed Hasan and Husayn and said, “0 Allah, I love them. So, do love them yourself.” ​​

​​♣ Allah Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam had carried Hasan ibn Ali on his shoulder. A man commented, “What an excellent conveyance, you are riding. 0 young boy!” The Prophet said, “And an excellent rider, he!”

♣ ​​​​​I heard the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam talking at the pulpit while Al-Hasan was sitting beside him, and he (i.e. the Prophet) was once looking at the people and at another time Al-Hasan, and saying, "This son of mine is a Saiyid (i.e. chief) and perhaps Allah will bring about an agreement between two sects of the Muslims through him."

♣ I saw Abu Bakr (RadhiAllahu Anhu) carrying Al-Hasan (RadhiAllahu Anhu) and saying, "Let my father be sacrificed for you; you resemble the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam and not 'Ali," while 'Ali (RadhiAllahu Anhu) was laughing at this. ​

♣ That the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam used to take him and Al-Hasan, and used to say, "O Allah! I love them, so please love them," or said something similar. ​​
